Why pay $195 when school directories are free?
Free directories and school websites are useful starting points. The $195 pays for applying your budget, commute, aftercare needs, and priorities to a researched comparison: why each option belongs, what would rule it out, what remains unknown, and what to check next. The report, audio guide, and family action kit carry that reasoning into your next steps.
Can one report cover more than one child?
One report covers one focus child and one target school year. Sibling drop-offs, shared transport, and family schedules are part of the logistics in every report. A separate shortlist for another child, with different grades and eligibility, is a separate report.
Do you guarantee a place at our first choice?
No. This is research, analysis, and decision support. Prior-cycle applicant and seat counts appear as context, never as a prediction for your child. Your family owns the final decision.
How long does intake take, and when does the report arrive?
After payment, a focused intake takes about 7 to 10 minutes: your child's learning environment, commute limits, budget, and priorities. The complete bundle has a delivery target of 48 hours after complete intake, subject to source availability.
Do I have to get on a call?
No. You can complete intake online and review the report in your own time. Everything runs by form and by email, and one round of follow-up questions by email is included.
What if our situation changes after we order?
Tell us what has changed. We assess how it affects the research and confirm any revised scope and timing before continuing. After delivery, one round of follow-up questions by email clarifies the report for the same child and school year. A new research brief needs a scope check. Factual errors follow our corrections process.
Which schools do you cover?
Greater Houston, by school type rather than by district list: HISD School Choice and magnet programs, the Houston-area charter networks, and private schools, including the ones that take TEFA. Your zoned public school, or the school your child attends now, is always part of the comparison when it is one of your real options. When they apply, the comparison also covers gifted and Vanguard eligibility, a 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in a general education classroom, public and private Montessori, and pre-K entry.
What do you need from me, and what do you never ask for?
Your child's grade and how they learn, in everyday words. Your broad area, not an exact address. Commute limits, budget, funding assumptions, aftercare needs, and what matters most. A parent or guardian completes the intake. We never ask for Social Security numbers, medical records, diagnoses, or full school records. If your child has a 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEP), you can tell us the plan type so the schools are compared against it.
How do I receive the report?
As private downloadable files you keep: the written report, the MP3 audio guide with its transcript, the one-page discussion guide, and the action kit with calendar entries for confirmed deadlines. Calendar entries are dated snapshots, not a monitoring service, so the action kit tells you which dates to recheck.
We are moving to Houston. Can you help?
Yes, if the schools you are weighing are in Greater Houston. A move can cross district lines and application systems, so the research is worth doing before you settle on an address. Tell us the areas you are considering and whether the neighborhood is decided; the report treats each area as an option with its own commute and application paths.
We already have offers. Is this still useful?
The research can focus on the choices you are weighing and the questions that could change your decision. You receive the same $195 bundle. Tell us which offers you have and when you need to respond; we confirm scope and timing before payment.
Can we compare staying at our current school with changing?
Yes. Staying can be part of the comparison. Tell us what is working, what is difficult, and what you would need from an alternative. We do not contact your current school about your family.
